Hello.  My name is Donna Usavage and I am hopelessly addicted to flame-worked glass art.  I started taking glass classes in my very limited spare time while I was leading a process and technology infrastructure team at a major pharmaceutical company.  I knew immediately that flameworking was my retirement dream.  Well… now I’m retired, I have a studio in my basement and I’m living the dream.  I’m in love with creating beautiful beads from glass, a material created from heat and sand, and turning them into jewelry and other useful items inspired by the natural beauty of our world.  

My products are one-of-a-kind and often inspired by the awesome natural world surrounding us.  I’m finding that the possibilities in flameworking are boundaryless, just like the infinite beauty around us in the world.  I believe in continuously learning and the power of the crowd, so never hesitate to contact me with your comments and ideas.
